The German Race in Munich Medal 1936 with Case - Silver gilt, marked "990" (silver) on the edge, obverse engraver marked "N. Schwegerie", illustrating a left-facing leaping horse, the Munich coat-or-arms with the Munich child (Münchner Kindl) above surmounted by an eagle with a swastika in its talons, inscribed "MÜNCHEN HAUPTSTADT DER BEWEGUNG" (MUNICH CAPITAL OF THE MOVEMENT) at the top and "500 JAHRE DEUTSCHE RENNEN" (500 YEARS OF THE GERMAN RACE) below, reverse illustrating two soldiers from different eras shaking hands, the left soldier with "1436" below, the right soldier with "1936" below, 40.5 mm, light contact, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, Munich coat-or-arms on the lid, recessed medal bed, light wear, case better than very fine.
