Gilt on zinc, maker marked "CARL POELLATH SCHROBENHAUSEN" on the reverse, obverse illustrating a left-facing spread-winged eagle, its talons firmly clenched on a coat-of-arms shield below, surrounded by the inscription "INTERNATIONALE WINTERSPORTWOCHE 1937 GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN", reverse illustrating a large angled swastika, 90 mm, nice detail, gilt loss on the obverse, streaking in the gilt on the reverse, light surface wear evident on the obverse, better than very fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, stamped in gold-coloured ink "INTERNATIONALE WINTERSPORTWOCHE GARMISCH PARTENKIRCHEN 1937" on the lid, lightly soiled recessed medal bed, separation of the liner on the hinged area, light contact and soiling on the exterior, case very fine.
