Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge in Silver by Steinhauer & Lück
(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords, on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, the pinback marked with code “4” for maker Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 36.63 mm (w) x 44.20 mm (h), weighing 24.5 grams, in very fine condition.
