Constructed of feinzink, the obverse with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on a pebbled field, on top of crossed swords, within an oval laurel wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with code “26” for B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim, measuring 36.54 mm (w) x 43.58 (h), weighing 22.2 grams, with loss of all gilt with the exception of the pin, in near extremely fine condition.
