Constructed of oval silvered zink; with an oak leaf border and a pair of acorns at the base, with a large Wehrmacht-style eagle with folded wings clutching a mobile swastika, and a crossed bayonet and stick grenade in the centre, with the number “25” in a box at the base; the reverse plain with a vertical broad pinback, with a crimped barrel hinge and a crimped flat catch; maker marked “JFS” for “Josef Feix & Söhne” on the reverse; measuring 48.17 mm (w) x 57.91 mm (h); weighing 31.8 grams; in better than extremely fine condition.
