Germany, Heer. A Pair of Germany Army Field Stoves
(Feldkocher). A pair of field stoves, including a Esbit Field Stove, constructed of three pieces of stamped magnetic sheet metal, consisting of two separate, fold-back, hinged top panels and a single-piece bottom panel, the two top panels are secured to the bottom panel by two, small, hollow-headed rivets, the top panels fold back creating legs and wind breaks for the fuel tablets, the top left panel is embossed with ESBIT 7310-12-121-1689 and an image of the stove in use, the top right panel is embossed with ESBIT BUNDESEIGENTUM (FEDERAL PROPERTY) and another image of the stove in use, the inner bottom panel is also embossed ESBIT MADE IN GERMANY, and stamped D.R.P.u. AUSL. PATENTE, measuring, when closed, 9.8 cm (w) x 7.3 cm (l) x 2 cm (h), displays moderate rust, and in very fine condition. A folding stove of similar construction, embossed with the brand name NATIT on the front panels, measuring 9.7 cm (w) x 7.3 cm (l) x 2 cm (h), with less rust than the Esbit Stove, and in better than very fine condition.
