A Set of Heated Luftwaffe Pilot’s Leather Gloves by Nökel & Co. Dated November 1940
This is a fine quality manufacture set of heated Luftwaffe pilot’s gloves by Nökel & Co. of Berlin-Charlottenburg. The gloves are constructed of black leather, sewn into a standard 5-finger glove, with the leather covering the palm and the back of the hand, as well as the wrists. The interior is lined in pig skin and very soft wool. The interior also features a black leather tab with two snap-buttons, that were used to deliver electric power to the heater of the gloves. The interior of each glove is marked “Nökel & Co., Berlin-Charlottenburg, Heizhandschuh Ha E1, 24 Volt, 8 Watt, Werk No. 6436, November 5th, 1940. These gloves have been worn extensively, as is notable by the extensive field repair. The functionality has not been tested, in overall very fine condition.
