Germany, Heer. An Army Hooded Smock

(Heer Windschlupfjacke). An excellent worn example of the Heer (Army) hooded smock, constructed of multi-coloured cloth. The smock is reversible and coloured field-grey on one side for general operations, with a white reverse for winter camouflage. The smock features a hood, the front of which is adorned with six magnetic metal eyelets accommodating a drawstring for adjustable closure. The breast of each side has dual frontal pockets, opening with cardboard buttons meeting reinforced buttonholes, with additional dual lower pockets. The smock is unmarked and measures approximately 540 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 650 mm and an overall length of 740 mm. It displays fatigue consisting with extensive field usage, including material deterioration, tearing, and soiling, the loss of some buttons, and rusting of the metallic features. In overall fair condition.
