An Army Leutnant Panzer Tunic
Tunic is fabricated from black wool, the shoulders are enhanced with shoulder straps indicative of the rank of Leutnant (Lieutenant), in light gray cord wound with fine silver bullion wire, wrapped in a u-shape, in a chevron formation, the sides and reverse of the boards in pink wool and held in place by a silvered aluminum button with a pebbled upper. There is a Panzer breast eagle in rolled aluminum wire interlaced with white threading sewn in place on the right breast. Panzer collar tabs on both protruding collar ends, each is fabricated with black wool uppers and trimmed in pink piping, each with a silvered aluminum Panzer skull insignia sewn in place by black threading between the eyes. There is a magnetic metal hook and eye closure at the collar. The front is adorned with three small and four large black plastic buttons at the front on the far right side, along with two small black plastic buttons near the opening, the large ones facing an equal number of reinforced button holes at the left side opening, the three buttons facing reinforced button holes on the left collar, with an Iron Cross 1939 ribbon fed through the top button hole. Inside, there are gray cotton vertical panels extending from the armpits to the bottom seam, with two black cotton ties sewn at the midway point, each panel flanked by a narrow strip of gray cotton. There is a top entry pocket on the right side panel and a side entry pocket on the left side panel, the left panel stamped in faded blue ink "92" in the centre with "41" over "57" at the left and "42" over "61" at the right, with "SE.41" below. The collar has a 70 mm long gray cotton strap for placement of the tunic on a hook. The tunic measures 380 mm across the shoulders x 550 mm in length. Top large black plastic button is loose but remains attached to the tunic, very light soiling evident on the inside left gray cotton panel.In slightly won condiiton.
