(Silberne Militärverdienstmedaille). Instituted 26 June 1892. (1892-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of King Wilhelm II, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR TAPFERKEIT UND TREUE” (“FOR BRAVERY AND LOYALTY”), within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 28.55 mm in diameter, weighing 12.3 grams, in better than very fine condition.
