What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

(Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen in Bronze mit Schwerterspange). Constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with crossed swords clasp, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Wilhelm Ernst circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “DEM VERDIENSTE 1914” (“FOR MERIT 1914”) inside of an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, the medal measuring 36.10 mm in diameter, evidence of period repair to the clasp suspension, in better than very fine condition.
