(Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen mit Jubiläumszahl “70”). Instituted 18 January 1810 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1851-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a central inscription of “VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT” (“SERVICE TO THE STATE”), within a laurel leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, unmarked, measuring 39.32 mm in diameter, weighing 24.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
