A beautiful example of this award in gold, measuring 37mm, with finely enameled arms and hand painted centre, parade mounted with ribbon, marked on 2 o'clock knee FR, better than extremely fine. Accompanied by original award document measuring 210x330mm, extremely fine condition with folding creases. It states that Oberst zur Disposition (Colonel of the reserve list) Hans von Rohrscheidt, Commander of Füsilier Regiment Graf Roon (East Prussian) No. 33, has been awarded the RedEagleOrder3rdClass with Ribbon. The document is dated to Berlin on July 16, 1909 and signed in black ink by German Emperor and King of Prussia, Wilhelm II.
Hans Friedrich Wilhelm von Rohrscheidt (1854–1947) was a Prussian officer, at the end of his career holding the rank of Major General.
