Instituted December 5, 1841 by Prince Konstantin of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. In silver gilt, a left facing eagle with black enamelled outspread wings holding a globe and scepter, with a black and white enamelled shield of Hohenzollern on the eagle’s center and a blue ring around the eagle’s crowned head inscribed VOM FELS ZUM MEER, the reverse is plain, measures 15.95mm (w) x 19.22mm (h), weighs 1.4 grams, enamels intact, light wear, very fine condition.
