What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Patriotic Metz Shooting Badge; A circular badge constructed of gilded bronze with silver components, two-piece construction, the obverse centre bears a crowned woman clutching a sword in one hand and a flag staff in the other, in front of her is a Metz coat of arms, encompassed by a black enamel border with an oak and laurel leaf wreath, the centre is cut out and shows two crossed rifles, the reverse is plain and bears six attachment prongs for the obverse centre, measuring 40.60 mm (w) x 51.73 mm (h);

Prussia, Kingdom. A Shooting Award; Rupert’s cross paty constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse centre bears the image of a horn, rifle, sword, target, flagstaff and an oak tree, the reverse bears the inscription “Schützenkönig 1903”, rays lay in the quadrants between the cross arms, with crown suspension, measuring 35.59 mm (w) x 54.75 mm (h), both very fine.
