What's a max bid?

Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, presenting as a Maltese Cross with obverse central medallion depicting raised monogram of King Ludwig on a black enamel background within a white enamel ring bearing motto of “MERENTI” (“For Merit”), reverse presents silvered central medallion depicting lion rampant within a silvered ring bearing raised institution date of “1866”, unmarked, measuring 51 mm (h) x 43 mm (w), in very fine condition.
