A cap of light brown cotton twill construction featuring a flat crown and soft sides, the edge of the crown is piped in the same light brown material, with two metal ventilation grommets just below the crown edge on either side, presenting the light-blue wool for Gruppe Hochland along the cap band, a 1927 pattern, silver-washed, stamped alloy eagle and swastika is applied to the cap band front by two prongs to the reverse, a silver-coloured, smooth metal button is at the centre seam, between the eagle and chinstrap, the brown leather chinstrap is connected by a vertical oval ring, with a brown metal sliding adjustment buckle to either side, the chinstrap is attached to the cap on either side by two flat brown lacquered buttons, the left side features a metal, stemless Edelweiss, with a black swastika superimposed at the centre, the short, stiff visor is covered in tan cotton twill, the interior of the crown features a orange-coloured oilcloth, a brown sweatband lines the interior, the interior also presents a RZM tag marked Hersteller: 253, inscribed with Uniformteile müssen sichtbar das Schutzzeichen der RZM der NSDAP, tragen. Bekanntmachung vom 16. 1. 1935 (Law of 20.12. 1934 / Uniform parts must be visible with the protection mark of the RZM of the NSDAP. Order of 16 January 1935) above Reichszeugmeisterei der NSDAP. Nr. F and number 231249, stamped with size 57 under the crown, this kepi measures approximately 18 cm (w) x 24.5 cm (l) x 12 cm (h), displaying very mild mothing to cap band, underside of visor displays mild soiling, sweatband displays worn condition, and the kepi is in overall near extremely fine condition.
