Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Lutfwaffe Flak NCO's Summer Visor Cap - Named

This fine quality cap has two rows of red piping, indicative of an Artllery (Flak) Unit, trimmed in Luftwaffe gray-blue wool along the open edge, with the body of the cap fabricated from a white cotton, featuring the classic high peak and rounded saddle-shaped sides. It has a black elastic band around the mid-section, which supports a one-piece aluminum officer's grade cockade on the front. The cockade has a painted black and red painted centre, surrounded by a silver wreathing and wings. Immediately above on the crown is an intricately detailed aluminum Lutftwaffe eagle insignia, The eagle is depicted in flight, the wings fully spread, one talon is clutching a swastika while the other is being held up in the air. The visor is black vulcanfibre with a buckled leather strap above, held in position via black painted bronze buttons on either side. The underside of the visor is synthetic, smooth and finished in green. The tan headband is a very supple leather, with a series of ventilation holes in four rows placed at the front, enabling a cooling effect on the forehead, The rear of the cap where the two ends of the headband meet are joined at the seam via a white ribbon bow tie. The dome itself has a brown rayon liner, with a diamond-shaped clear moisture shield, plus a "J. SCHALMEYER HAMBURG SUDSEEHAUS" maker stamp printed in black on the rayon fabric below. The shield contains an insert sleeve with a named paper insert to "Franz Seeger, 3.Batterie, I./7 Wolfenbuttel", with no size stamp indication. Overall, it measures 260 mm x 290 mm x 150 mm in height. The cap has very light sweat staining on the tan headband and continues to exhibit very smooth texture in the white cotton, plus quality workmanship, fine stitching at the seams, very clean and free of staining on the exterior, maintaining its original period look, in better than extremely fine condition.
