A Rare Set of Two Large Brass Candelabra
This is a rare set of two large and extremely fine quality manufacture candelabra. They were recently recovered from a Canadian Army Serviceman's kit-bag. Each component has been individually machined and is assembled by screwing together to form a tight join. Due to high quality fabrication, it is very likely this set originated from a Government office or other location of significance. The bases are crafted out of solid brass in the shape of a swastika, and the body constructed of brass, with three beautifully machined and removable wax catchers, with matching needles to set the candle on. Both are unmarked examples and are likely a custom “one-of” order for a government building or the office of a high ranking official. Each candelabra measures 558 mm x 337 mm, with each of the swastika at the bases measuring 113 mm x 113 mm. Overall, these candelabra are in extremely fine condition.
