A German Red Cross Medal, II Class, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central red enameled Geneva Cross with each arm completing in a royal crown, the quadrants bearing initials “W.R.A.V.” for Wilhelm Rex and Auguste Victoria, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FUER VERDIENSTE UM DAS ROTHE KREUZ” (“FOR SERVICE TO THE RED CROSS”) flanked by an oak leaf branch, unmarked, measuring 33.44 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Silesian Eagle, II Class, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle executed in black enamels with featuring highlighted in silver, overlaid across the chest by a raised and silvered cross and crescent moon, gripping a raised and silvered banner bearing an inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”) in its talons, unmarked, measuring 32.44 mm (w) x 46.76 mm (h), weighing 21.3 grams, a late-period veteran’s replacement piece produced during the early Federal Republic, in extremely fine condition.
