A rectangular box constructed of black textured cardboard with a raised paper 1914 Iron Cross on the lid, the interior of the box is decorated with grey textured paper, the lid bears a pressed paper laurel leaf wreath, painted in various shades of green, with a paper 1914 Iron Cross at the bottom with a black, white and red ribbon tied in a bow, on one of the tails of the ribbon is “Erinnerung an den grossen Krieg” (Memory of the big war), on the lower part of the box is a sprig of laurel leaves with a black, white and red ribbon tied in a bow, the til reals “Weltkrieg 1914-18” (World War 1914-18), closed the box measures 243 mm (w) x 282 mm (h), very fine.
