1) A military passport, issued 27 January 1938 to Wilhelm Peters, containing information regarding his participation in the First World War, multiple entries and stamps throughout, marked "D.R.G.M. (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) 1 367 174" on the inside back cover and maker marked "Wetten & Co., Nationaler Werbedruck, Berlin SW 61" on the back cover, containing fifty-two pages printed in brown ink, plus cover printed in black ink, measuring 105 mm (w) 147 mm (h), minor discolouration and creasting, and in near extremely fine condition.

 

2) Official discharge papers for Wilhelm Peters, written in black ink and Gothic script, dated 31 July 1919, measuring 211 mm (w) x 165 mm (h), signed in crayon, four punched holes, discolouration and folding creases, and in very fine condition.

 

3) A Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 award document to Schlosser Wilhelm Peters, in Nauen, dated 30 March 1935, signed in black ink, measuring 210 mm (w) x 148 mm (h),discolouration and folding creases, and in near extremely fine condition.

 

4) A Wehrpaß Notiz, dated 17 July 1939, advising Wilhelm Peters that, if the country goes to war, he is required to maintain his current employment, measuring 209 mm (w) x 147 mm (h), with folding creases, and in extremely fine condition.

 

5) A notice from the Berlin Employment Office, dated 7 September 1939, informing Wilhelm Peters that his job with Spreewerk G. m. b. H was necessary for state security, measuring 148 mm (w) x 209 mm (h), with folding creases and folded edges, and in very fine condition.

 

6) A bank book from Deutsche Bank, belonging to Wilhelm Peters, with deposits recorded in ink from 1942-1944, measuring 104 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), four pages, and in extremely fine condition.

 

7) A death certificate dated 6 February 1945 for Rudolf Peters (1928-1945), stating the cause of death was meningitis tuberculosis, measuring 209 mm (w) x 149 mm (h), with folding creases, corner folded, small tears around edges, signed in ink and form completed by typewriter, and in very fine condition.

 

8) A notice from the Reserve Hospital in Bremen, dated 27 February 1945, regarding the bodily remains of Kan. Rudolf Peters, measuring 209 mm (w) x 149 mm (h), folding creases and small tears, and in very fine condition.

 

9) A certificate dated 28 February 1945  for the cremation of Kan. Rudolf Peters, from the Cemetery Department, measuring 209 mm (w) x 279 mm (h), folding creases, and in near extremely fine condition.

 

10) A notice of death for Kurt Peters (1925-1945), dated 15 September 1945, who died in the Reserve Hospital at Lübeck of a spinal cord injury/paraplegia, measuring 148 mm (w) x 104 mm (h), discolouration and small tears at edges, and in fine condition.

 

11) A notice from Deutsche Dienststelle (German Office for the notification of the next of kin), dated 13 March 1946, addressed to Wilhelm Peters, regarding Rudolf Peters, stating his place of death as Reserve Hospital Bremen and burial as unknown, stamped with mark of Hugh G. Stark Lt. Col. of the US Armed Forces, measuring 148 mm (w) x 104 mm (h), discolouration and small tears at edges, and in fine condition.

 

12) A notice from Deutsche Dienststelle (German Office for the notification of the next of kin) dated 29 May 1946, addressed to Wilhelm Peters, regarding Kurt Peters, stating his place of death as Reserve Hospital Lübeck and burial at Ehrenfriedhof (the central memorial in Lübeck), stamped with mark of Hugh G. Stark Lt. Col. of the US Armed Forces, measuring 148 mm (w) x 104 mm (h), discolouration, and in very fine condition.

 

13) A notice from Deutsche Dienststelle, dated 5 May 1948, addressed to Peters Family, informing them of the return of Kurt Peters’ property, stamped with the mark of the French division of the Allied Control Council, measuring 208 mm (w) x 147 mm (h), folding creases and small tears at edges, and in near very fine condition.

 

Footnote: The Wehrpaß for Wilhelm Peters includes his photo and personal information such as his birth on 9 April 1897 in Vogtshagen, Germany. Peters was drafted in May of 1916, serving with the Infantry Regiment 48, and discharged on 31 July 1919. Peters received the Iron Cross Second Class and the Hindenburg Cross. Peter had two sons named Kurt and Rudolf, both died in 1945.
