A lot of award documents named to Unteroffizier Hans-Gerhard Ritter, Panzer-Grenadier Regiment 66, including a document for a Wound Badge, Black Grade, constructed of paper with black ink, dated 15 January 1945 for wounds suffered on 14 December 1944, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a document for a Wound Badge, Silver Grade, dated 2 March 1945 for wounds suffered on 14 December 1944, measuring 140 mm (w) x 198 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a medical discharge form concerning Ritter’s injury, which states that he lost the index and middle fingers of his right hand during combat, with consequent reduced mobility to his hand and remaining fingers, dated 2 March 1945, measuring 212 mm (w) x 300 mm (h), tearing and discolouration evident, in overall very fine condition, and; a service discharge certificate, also releasing Ritter from Allied captivity, dated 4 August 1945 and certified 7 September, measuring 214 mm (w) x 272 mm (h), tearing evident, with some reinforced with tape, in overall very fine condition.
