Germany, Kriegsmarine. An Administrative Official’s Veteran Trophy Belt with Buckle

This is a bring-back trophy belt from a Canadian veteran who served in Europe during the War. During his service he collected this Kriegsmarine Administrative Official’s dress belt with buckle, and pinned Kriegsmarine Specialist Trade Ciphers to the exterior of the belt. The Administrative Official’s buckle is constructed of cast silvered aluminum illustrating a fouled anchor surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves on the right end, and is maker marked stylized logo of “Emil Jüttner, Lüdenscheid” on the reverse; the buckle measuring 58 mm x 58 mm. The matching belt is fabricated from a fine aluminum wire with two rows of dashes in black embroidery intertwined with aluminum wire on the upper, and a black wool backer; the right end of the belt finishes in a point and has a hook that connects to one of eight aluminum eyelets for length adjustment; with a matching silvered aluminum receiving clip on the left end, with one adjustable slider with matching uppers; measuring 898 mm x 48 mm; accompanied by ten large Kriegsmarine specialist trade ciphers, including a Senior Reserve Service cipher, a Senior Carpenter’s career cipher, a Senior Teletypist career cipher, a Blocking Weapons Mechanic career cipher, a Engine Mechanic career cipher, a Signal’s career cipher, a Clerical career cipher, a Coastal artillery career cipher, a Medical career cipher, and a Torpedo Mechanic’s career cipher. The belt is also ordained with six miniature career ciphers; all constructed of fire gilded zink; all prongs on the reverse intact except for two. Overall, this is a very unique piece from a veteran; better than very fine with only light signs of wear.
