In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
Commemorative Badge in die-stamped aluminum, red lacquered center, unmarked although the known makers were Zagreb's foundries B. Knaus and ME-BA, 39 mm x 41 mm, extremely fine.
Footnote: This badge was awarded to all members of the Croatian legionary units (Navy, Army, Air Force) and worn on the right uniform pocket. Most of these legionary units were involved in the battles on the Eastern Front, in Russia, most notably 369.th (Kroat.) Regiment. Commander of the Regiment was Colonel Markulj, a Croat. He was replaced by another Croat, Colonel Viktor Pavicic, as regimental Commander. Only a small number of the NCO's of the regiment were Germans, all other members were Croats; the Regiment was decimated at the Battle of Stalingrad. Croatians also had a naval unit stationed and active in the Black Sea, as well as Air Force formation numbering several hundreds.
