What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A pair of Nikolai Vaptsarov Naval Academy graduation badges, including an early badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an off-white enameled diamond within a gilt border, overlaid by a red enameled five-pointed star bearing a gilt coat of arms of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, above a gilt banner bearing a black Cyrillic inscription of “ВВУЗ Н. ВАПЦАРОВ”, the reverse with a screw and backplate, maker marked “БМД” for the Bulgarian Mint, measuring 28.10 mm (w) x 48.34 mm (h), minor flecking of enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition, and; a later badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a white enameled diamond within a gilt border, overlaid by a red enameled five-pointed star bearing a gilt coat of arms of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, above a gilt banner bearing a black Cyrillic inscription of “ВВУЗ Н. ВАПЦАРОВ”, the reverse with a screw and backplate, maker marked “БМД” for the Bulgarian Mint, measuring 28.69 mm (w) x 49.06 mm (h), minor flecking of enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
