A 1914-1915 Styrian’s War Veteran’s Association Medal; Constructed of silver with green and white enamels; measuring 32.00 mm (w) x 38.99 mm (h); in overall better than very fine condition. A 1914-1915 Salzburg War Veteran’s Association Pin; Constructed of gilt bronze and multi-coloured enamels; horizontal pinback; measuring 20.54 mm (w) x 24.15 mm (h); in overall extremely fine condition. A 1915 Patriotic Metal Collections Donations Pin; Constructed of blacked porcelain; inscribed “K.u.K Kriegsministerium Patriot Kriegsmetallsammlung” in yellow capital lettering; measuring 21.05 mm in diameter; 37 mm long needle pin; in overall extremely fine condition.


This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
