United States. A Gold Liberty Head Two and a Half Dollar Coin, 1834

(Currency, Coins). A circular coin constructed of gold. The obverse features the bust of Liberty encompassed by stars with the date “1834” at the bottom. The reverse features the image of an eagle with outstretched wings and a shield on its chest, clutching a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The bird is encompassed by the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and below is the denomination “2 ½ D.”. The edge of the coin is reeded and the coin is unmarked. Measuring 18.38mm (diameter). This coin has been graded VF30 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service).

ICCS is a Canadian coin certification company located in Toronto. They have been operating since 1986.
