Accompanied by two buttons, an auxiliary badge, CVSM ribbon with leaf device, and two cufflinks (marked ECCO GOLD SEAL), and a Lion’s head cloak clasp, all in very fine condition.
Footnote: Barbara Layton Keagey was born in Dundas, Ontario in 1913. She served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a nursing sister during the Second War. In June 1942, she served on the York and the Stadacona. As of March 29, 1943, she was serving on the Protector. In May 1944, the Avalon. In 1945, she served aboard the Cornwallis, Stadacona, and Star. She was discharged on December 13, 1945. Keagey died in December 1990, in Toronto, and is buried in Grove cemetery, Dundas.
Nina Edna Smith served on the York in March 1943, and later the Avalon from August 5, 1943 to April 3, 1945.
