Description

In gold-plated bronze, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, original ribbon with pinback, extremely fine. In its cardboard box of issue, ERII 50 cypher on the lid, navy blue felt medal bed, box also extremely fine. Accompanied by a miniature of the decoration, court mounted, very fine.

Footnote: This medal was awarded to Canadians who have made a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, their community or to Canada on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The recipients were selected by a number of partner organizations in every field of Canadian Life. Approximately 46,000 medals were awarded, including 9,000 to the military proportionally through its ranks according to an automatic formula based on the component, service, rank, trade and length of service of every member of the Canadian Forces.
