Germany, Wehrmacht. A Mixed Lot of Heer and Waffen-SS Identification Tags

(Heer und Waffen-SS Erkennungsmarke). A mixed lot of four identification tags, including:

1. One issued to a member of 1. Kompanie, Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 82, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing double-stamped inscriptions of “1./GEB. PI. 82” and “315”, perforated with three suspension eyelets, measuring 70 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.

2. One issued to a member of SS-Freiwilligen-Artillerie-Regiment 14, constructed of zink, the obverse bearing double-stamped inscriptions of “6./SS-FRW. ART. R. 14” and “120”, perforated with three suspension eyelets, measuring 70 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.

3. One issued to a Latvian volunteer, constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse bearing double-stamped inscriptions of “2./I.R. 3, LETT. SS. FREIW. DIV.”, perforated with three suspension eyelets, measuring 70 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), demonstrating oxidation and pitting, in very fine condition.

4. One issued to an Estonian security unit volunteer, constructed of zink, the obverse bearing partially-legible double-stamped inscriptions, perforated with three suspension eyelets, measuring 70 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), demonstrating extensive oxidation and chipping, in fair condition.
