(Nishan-i-Shuja'at). Instituted in 1919. Type III (1926-1929) Of local manufacture, two-piece insignia in silver, the centrepiece illustrating the Kingdom of Afghanistan coat-of-arms, surrounded by an inscription in Arabic, mounted to a blackened magnetic metal base with multi-rayed arms consisting of three wide-pointed ends alternating with another three sharp-pointed ends, measuring 71.5 mm (w) x 70.8 mm (h), vertical pinback, scattered blackening wear evident on the reverse, near extremely fine.


Footnote: The Order of Bravery was instituted by King Amanu'llah in 1919. The Order was presented in a single class, in recognition of acts of gallantry. The Order became obsolete in 1973.
