Award Documents to Otto Geiger; 1st & 2nd Class Red Cross; Italian Crown Order - Italian Award Certificate for the Order of the Crown of Italy, in fine condition; German Document approving the Bestowal of the Italian Order, in fine condition; Document for the Honour Cross of the Red Cross, once folded in half and in slightly worn condition; Document for the Merit Cross of the German Red Cross, slightly discoloured and worn. From the decorations office of the Red Cross, the document reads: in keeping with the declaration of the Office of Public Heath in the State Office for social administration, article 513/1920, from May 19th, 1920, Otto Geiger, for merit during the war, has applied for commendation, and according to the Commission’s decision from the contemporary regulations, his claim to the HONOUR CROSS OF THE RED CROSS 2ND CLASS has been approved. Vienna, March 13th, 1922. The second Red Cross Document reads: with the agreement of the Fuhrer and Reichskanzler Adolf Hitler, I award as a token o gratitude and in recognition of exceptional service the Merit Cross of the Badge of Honour of the German Red Cross to Herr Bank Director Otto Geiger. Berlin, May 10th, 1938. The third document printed in Rome on July 31st, 1939 is to award the Officer’s Cross of the Order of the Crown of Italy to one Otto Geiger. A beautiful formal document. A German document from October 21st, 1939 reads: in the name of the German Volk I give to bank director Otto Geiger the authorization to accept the Officer’s Cross of the Order of the Crown of Italy. Berlin. The document bears a facsimile Adolf Hitler and Otto Meissner signature.
