An SA Dagger by Gebruder Christians Solingen-Nord; Measuring 371 mm in length with the scabbard on, this SA dagger is engraved "Alles für Deutschland" on the blade, magnetic, exhibiting nice crossgraining, with the usual in and out runner marks, along with surface wear, very sharp edges and a very sharp tip. It is maker marked with the Gebruder Christians (Christianswerk) Solingen-Nord insignia on the reverse ricasso, measuring 220 mm in length and rating fine. Nickel plated fittings on both crossguards, along with the pommel, the reverse of the central crossguard with the "Nrh" (Niederrhein) SA Group Gau mark, exhibiting very light contact and surface wear. Wooden handle fits relatively tight to the crossguards, with a very bright, smooth finish, one small nick at the raised junction and chipping evident where it butts the crossguard at the pommel end, along with a black spot, all on the obverse. The embedded finely-detailed aluminum eagle with light contact and rates near extremely fine, while the SA insignia exhibits very light contact, the brown enamels intact and silvering intact, also rating near extremely fine. Green oxidation and residue evident on the hardware and insignia, the dagger measuring 345 mm overall. The scabbard fittings exhibit contact marks and surface wear, the ball finial with a contact marks of various sizes. The brown painted body is magnetic, with extensive surface wear exposing its metal base and traces of paint remaining at the areas butting the fittings. The chape and locket each held in place via two screws each, the chape slightly loose with its obverse point undulated, the ring attached to the locket, the scabbard measuring 246 mm in length. Good/Fine.
