An Army Wehrpass & Records to the 847th Battalion

A Wehrpass of Gustav Seidel 1914 Iron Cross Recipient - late type, 56 pages, extremely fine condition, and health record with chest x-ray and summary. Foonote: Gustav Seidel was born January 19th, 1892 in Eger, in the Sudetenland. He was a married, protestant, father of one, who worked as a sculptor. He was conscripted on November 2nd, 1943 and examined at the Eger District Command Office, and posted with the local militia. On May 3rd, 1944 he was assigned to the 13th Territorial Infantry Battalion. On June 3rd, 1944 he was moved to the 847th Battalion, with no specified end date. He indicates three years and two months of service in the “Old German Army,” during the First World War. He received the Iron Cross 2nd Class in the First War.
