A Rare 1933 SS Himmler Dagger by Carl Eickhorn
A Rare 1933 SS Himmler Dagger by Carl Eickhorn - This is a classic example of the H. Himmler dedication dagger. Its ebony coloured grip, which is identifiable as an Eickhorn production by its unique shape, shows usual period wear with some chipping. The sigrune button has a copper tone. The eagle in the grip has the high neck often seen on Eickhorn daggers. The Eickhorn squirrel is clear at the base of the blade. The dedication In Herzicher Kameradshaft H. Himmler is beautifully etched and clear. The blade exhibits strong crossgrains and the majority of wear that is present, is from simply the insertion and with drawl of the blade into the scabbard. The blade rates at better than extremely fine. The cross guard is bench marked '5.' The anodized scabbard finish is fine showing usual wear. With original worn hanger. Overall, near extremely fine.
