A. BALDWIN. 28-CAN.INF.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine. Footnote: Andrew Baldwin was born on September 22, 1889 in Kent, England. He signed his Attestation Paper with the 28th Infantry Battalion "North West Regiment", on January 7, 1915 in Dauphin, Manitoba, at the age of 25, naminghis next-of-kin as Edgar Baldwin, stating that he had two years' previous service with 4th Royal West Kent Volunteer Regiment, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Labourer. The Battalion was raised in Saskatchewan and Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Winnipeg, Manitoba under the authority of G.O. 36, March 15, 195. The Battalion sailed May 29, 1915 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.F.L. Embury with a strength of 36 officers and 1.078 other ranks. The Battalion served in France and Belgium with the 6th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Canadian Division. Baldwin survived the war.
