Contact, good-fine. Footnote: William MacGowan was born on April 16, 1879 in Campbelltown, Scotland. He signed his Attestation Paper in Toronto, Ontario on July 15, 1915, stating that he had previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Butcher. The spelling on his Attestation Paper refers to him as "MacGowan", while the medals are impressed without the "a" incorporated, "McGowan".
