A First War British War Medal to the British Columbia Regiment - (2023880 PTE. A. DUTHIE. B.C.R.). Naming is officially impressed. Court-mounted with pinback, contact marks, edge nicks, very fine. Accompanied by a copy of his Particulars of Recruit Drafted Under Military Service Act 1917 Paper.   Footnote: Alexander Duthie was born on February 13, 1895 in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He was a resident of Porcher Island, British Columbia when he signed his Particulars of Recruit Drafted Under Military Service Act 1917, on May 25, 1918 in Vancouver, British Columbia, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Mary Duthie, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was Single and that his trade was that of Seaman (his letter and number 325815 under the Military Service Act).
