What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Fine Chained SS 1936 Leader's Dagger

A Fine Chained SS 1936 Leader's Dagger - Measuring 376 mm in length with the scabbard on, this SS Dagger is engraved "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" on the blade, unmarked on the ricasso as per the style on Leader's Daggers. The blade has beautiful crossgraining, exhibiting the usual in and out runner marks, with semi-sharp edges and a dull tip, exhibiting surface wear, the blade measuring 220 mm in length and rating very fine. Nickel-plated crossguard butting the blade exhibits surface wear. Ebony-coloured wooden handle with embedded aluminum eagle rates very fine, with green oxidation evident in the recessed areas. The SS insignia is turned slightly to the left, exhibiting light contact and wear, a sliver out of the wood to the left of the insignia where it butts the upper crossguard, slight chipping where it butts the upper crossguard on the opposite side, the handle with multiple contact marks from active use. The upper crossguard is not nickle-plated, as is the pommel, which remains tight, the dagger measuring 342 mm in length. The black painted body of the scabbard is magnetic with minimal contact marks, nickel-plated scabbard fittings exhibit light contact, the locket held in place via two screws, the chape with ball finial. Chain is clipped to the locket and band with the traditional skull and SS runes in place, SS marked on the reverse of one link, with clip. Better than very fine.
