A 1957 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Swords and Oak Leaves - Silver, non-magnetic, 48.5 mm x 71.5 mm inclusive of its oak leaves and crossed swords suspension, independent ribbon, near mint. Accompanied by its near mint Stickpin (silver, 9.2 mm x 14.5 mm, on a 42.7 mm pin), in its hardshelled case of issue, recessed medal bed, soiling evident on the exterior lid, case very fine. Footnote: These "de-nazified" awards were issued by the Federal Republic of Germany in 1957 for Veterans wear, as Second World War awards were not allowed to be worn. They were awarded only to German Veterans entitled to such awards during the War. Production of these awards ceased in 1986.
