A 1914-18 War Medal to the Canadian Railway Troops - (657156 A. 2. CPL. R.H. EVERS. C.R.T.). Naming is officially impressed. Very dark patina, fine edge nicks, extremely fine.Footnote: Robert Henry Evers was born on September 16, 1892 in Trout Creek, Ontario. He signed his Attestation Paper on December 28, 1915, in Parry Sound, Ontario, at the age of 23, naming his next-of-kin as his father, Julius Evers of Trout Lake, stating that he had two months' previous service with the 23rd Regiment (Northern Pioneers), that he was not married and that his trade was that of Telegrapher. Evers served as a Sapper with the Canadian Railway Troops and survived the war.
