A 16th Infantry Battalion War Medal; Kitchener's Wood - (29357 PTE. W. K. MC SLOY. 16-CAN.INF.). Naming is officially impressed. Original ribbon, dark patina, extremely fine Footnote: William Knox McSloy was born on July 15, 1890 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He signed his Attestation Paper as a Private on September 23, 1914 at Valcartier Camp, at the age of 24, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Mrs. McSloy of Winnipeg, Manitoba, no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Teamster. McSloy survived the war.
