1934 NSDAP Camp Bjelovar Badge
1934 NSDAP Camp Bjelovar Badge - Badge in silvered tombac, die struck, 36.45 x 45.30mm, weighs 14.5 grams, unmarked. After the NSDAP activity in Austria was outlawed in early 1930's some of the Austrian NSDAP members who fled prosecution settled in and around Bjelovar, Croatia, not far from Austrian border, and carried their activities from there until their return to Austria, after German entry into Austria. Around 1933/34 badge was commissioned from Zagreb?s "Griesbach i Knaus" metal/insignia factory, designer unknown, and presumably worn by the members of the Bjelovar Camp. Inscription on the badge reads: "Lager d. N.S.D.A.P. Bjelovar 1934". This badge is illustrated in 1934 "Griesbach i Knaus" catalogue, page 20. In extremely fine condition and extremely rare.
