WWII Army Racing Team OAP Badge - Third Class Badge, in bronze and enamels, 35 mm x 47 mm, pinback, with single small chip out of enamelled triangle, very fine. Rare. Footnote: The badge was created in the fall of 1940 by the OAP organization and awarded at the bequest and orders of the Minister of Defence, January 21, 1941. Units of sport date back to 1940 with the creation of a football (soccer) team, then a hockey team and other sports sections followed, which represented the Slovak army and the army of friendly sporting events armies (Germany, Croatia, Italy and others). It was awarded in three classes: gold, silver and bronze, with the wreath in the eagle's talons symbolizing victory.
