Scarce Royal Yugoslav Navy Dagger
This scarce dagger features a fine and ornate 280 mm chrome-plated blade, etched with an intricate patterned design centred by a crowned anchor on both sides, maker marked ALCOSO SOLINGEN on the ricasso. Impressed with B. RADONIC DUBROVNIK, only faint scratches overall, common to extraction and return to the scabbard, natural shine, near extremely fine. Crossguard is brass, push scabbard release lock, with black felt washer, attached to a synthetic grip with ten levels of wound gold wire. The round brass pommel features a tightly wound series of knots. The scabbard is brass, complemented with brass dagger hanger rings, ball finial, obverse features the head of Neptune with a trident pointing upwards at the enclosed end, with a crowned anchor at the open end, original screws on either side of throat, nice pebbled finish, free of dents overall. A fine example of this type of dagger, in near extremely fine condition. Scarce.
