In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Fabricated from a thick leather with a pebbled black finished upper, raw underside, unmarked, fold over weather flap with metal post, 18.5 mm wide strap stitched in place at the bottom and slotted at the opposite end, and when connected to the post on the weather flap, ensures a snug fit. Long pouch stitched to the body of the cover on the front, with a 18.5 wide slotted securing strap attached to a metal post immediately to the right, patch stitched in place on the reverse with a 25 mm wide strap and metal buckle for carrying on a belt, elongated hole in the bottom of the cover for the insertion of the axe's handle. Cover measures 20 mm x 108.5 mm at the blade end, 49 mm x 85 mm at the butt end and 200 mm in length overall, with all metal hardware being magnetic. Expected wear contact marks on the interior, extremely fine.
Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
