An Early First War Trio to the Royal Field Artillery - 1914 Star (Mons Star), 1 Clasp -5th Aug.-22nd Nov. 1914 (74587 GNR: W.G. HARRIS. R.F.A.); British War Medal (74587 GNR. W.G. HARRIS. R.A.); and Victory Medal (74587 GNR. W.G. HARRIS. R.A.). Naming is officially impressed. Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, original ribbons, dark patina on the BWM, gilt wear evident on the VM, light contact, better than very fine. Accompanied by a Royal Field Artillery Shoulder Title (bronze, 20.3 mm x 45.3 mm, intact lugs), a Royal Field Artillery Sweetheart Pin (16.8 mm x 20.7 mm bronze gilt and enamelled insignia on a 1.7 mm x 51.3 mm silver gilt bar with pinback) and three Postcards (two cards with groups of men and officers with one exhibiting a "X" above Harris in the photo, matte finish, 90 mm x 138 mm and gloss finish, 88 mm x 138 mm respectively; the third card with a studio portrait of a standing Harris, gloss finish, 86 mm x 135 mm; all three cards with Harris named in pencil on the address backers), along with copies of his Medal Awards Index Card and Roll of Individuals Entitled to the Decoration (1914 Star, dated March 27, 1918) from the National Archives and assorted research papers regarding the Royal Field Artillery.
