The dagger has a chrome-plated bayonet-style crossguard with a cast floral design, the quillon turning downward, black synthetic grip plates held in place on either side via two rivets, voided cypher of Michael I in bronze on the obverse, an eagle's head forms the pommel with its red glass eyes intact, a lateral ring hole below the eagle's head but is missing the squarish ring that would have attached to a portepee, the dagger measuring 233 mm in length. The scabbard is chrome-plated and comes with a ball finial, a clip on the obverse for attachment to a belt, with extensive surface wear and chrome loss, dents evident on the reverse, the scabbard fitting very loose versus the dagger and measuring 172 mm in length.
