A First War Medal Trio to the Canadian Army Service Corps - 1914-15 Star (30892 PTE. R.E. ROBERTSON. CAN. A.S.C.); British War Medal (30892 L-CPL. R.E. ROBERTSON. C.A.S.C.); and Victory Medal (30892 L. CPL. R.E. ROBERTSON. C.A.S.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Court-mounted, dark patina on the BWM, light contact, better than very fine. Footnote: Robert Edwin Robertson was born on August 17, 1891 in Kilburn, London, England. He signed his Attestation Paper with the Canadian Army Service Corps, on September 23, 1914, at Valcartier Camp, at the age of 23, naming his next-of-kin as Joseph Robertson of Hamilton, Ontario, stating that he was with an Active Militia, which was unidentified, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Butcher. The Canadian Army Service Corps was charged with supplying the forces with transportation, food and workshops.
